The Lighthouse Session

Who is this for?

  • Families in Singapore who are beginning to have questions about their child's unique development, learning patterns, behavior or how they engage with school, who have not yet received a psychoeducational evaluation. If you're starting to have questions, feeling concerned after a school report or parent-teacher conference, or simply seeking to understand your child better before pursuing any formal assessments, this is the ideal first step.  We understand that noticing differences can lead to many questions, and we're here to help you gain initial clarity.

Services Included:

    • This includes discussing relevant therapies (e.g., literacy intervention for dyslexia, occupational therapy for executive function related to ADHD, behavioral therapy) and providing a curated list of 3-5 vetted therapists/centers in Singapore, including their approaches and estimated costs. We also offer guidance on what questions to ask these potential providers.

    • We provide an overview of how learning support typically works in Singaporean mainstream and international schools and facilitate initial brainstorming for approaching your child's current school or considering new school environments.

    • We'll share initial actionable strategies for creating a supportive home learning environment (e.g., structured routines, visual aids, multi-sensory learning approaches).

  • Follow-Up Q&A Call (30 minutes): This call is scheduled 1-2 weeks after the consultation to address any new questions that arise as you begin to contact professionals or implement initial strategies.

Deliverables:

  • A written "Support Roadmap" document outlining recommended next steps.

  • A curated list of relevant therapists/resources with contact information and key questions for providers.
